French National Day, An Occasion Worth Experiencing.

Let's have two great friends celebrate!

What Happened:

On 14th July 2023, The French Embassy in Ghana celebrated French National Day at the Residence of His Excellency Jules-Armand ANIAMBOSSOU.

The Flamboyant event hosted other Ambassadors and Consuls from the various embassies in Ghana, Ghana's leaders and political heads, media Personalities, Students and some dignitaries of French or Ghanaian Nationality.

What are people saying?

Guests of His Excellency Jules-Armand ANIAMBOSSOU had a great time at the event. The event's music, food, drinks and great company perfectly blend fun and classy, giving all guests an exciting experience.

The Talkative:

The French National Day celebration at the Residence of France is crucial for French and Ghanaian nationals. In Ghana, the French Language has been incorporated into studies to ensure that the everyday Ghanaian child has the basic knowledge of the French Language and has had an interest in the Language since childhood.

The beautiful friendship between France and Ghana is also a testament to how Ghanaians, especially the media and entertainers, went all out for this special celebration. In the last three years, the French Embassy in Ghana has built and harnessed a great rapport with tastemakers, influencers and celebrities in Ghana that paved the way directly into the hearts of the Ghanaian youth. The French Embassy's involvement of the Ghanaian youth in their events and programs that help support the everyday Ghanaian has been one of the significant reasons Ghanaians show up in their numbers whenever the Embassy of France in Ghana sends an invitation.

Throwing light on what the French National Day stands for, according to Wikipedia, "The French National Day is the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille on 14th July 1789, a major event of the French Revolution as well as the Fête de la Fédération that celebrates the unity of the French People on 14th July 1790."

This is a massive celebration in France and its extensions in various parts of the world. The magnanimous experience at the embassy was a glimpse of what French National Day is in France.

A prestigious event like this gave attendees the perfect platform to:

Network:

The beautiful mixture of Ghanaian, French and other nation's state officials in one space and different influential personalities made it a perfect ground for anyone looking to network and make some good friends from various parts of the world. A lovely picture with an Ambassador or Consul is set to boost your confidence as a young person looking to network.

Know More About The French Culture and Traditions:

Events like these also bring the French culture closer to Ghanaians. The food, the drinks, the French National Anthem, the music, the colours and the setup were all a way of introducing France's various traditions and cultures to Ghanaians, which created an audio-visual representation of what we learnt in school growing up.

Hopefully, more of these events will continually involve Ghanaians in nurturing and strengthening the love and friendship between these two countries.
