The Talkative:
Peru National Day on the 28th of July is one of the most important holidays in Peru and all Peruvian communities. It celebrates Peru's independence from the Spanish empire by José de San Martin, with the 29th of July commemorating the establishment of the Republic of Peru.
At the Event, the Embassy used diverse means to project the Peruvian culture and to tell the story of its rich culture. The massive screen at the Event projected the history and preparation of the national drink of Peru, Pisco Sour. While the video was on a loop, the hospitable service team used the opportunity to share a glass of Pisco Sour with all of its guests. The delicious and flavourful Pisco sour gave the tongue a quick trip to Peru and its beautiful culture.
The Peruvian and Afro-Peruvian Music played at the Event was also a great way for the Embassy to connect its guests to the rich Culture of Peru. His Excellency Abel Antonio Cardenas Tuppia and the new Peruvian Ambassador Liliana Gómez de Weston ensured their guests had a great time and seized every opportunity to educate them more about the Peruvian culture.
The Event was well attended, and the excitement of its guest was proof of the great relationship Peru has established with other countries over the years. Salud!
